| I have been helping golf-oriented couples for the last 20 years to find their dream golf community home. When I turned 50, I started dreaming about a retirement in which I could combine two established passions — writing and golf. I also became fascinated with real estate as my wife Connie and I started thinking about a vacation home on the coast of the Carolinas. Shortly after I retired at 57 in 2005, I studied for and earned a real estate license and started Home On The Course, a service to assist Baby Boomer couples searching for their dream home in a golf community. In 2000, Connie and I purchased a vacation condo in Pawleys Island, SC, in the heart of a golfing mecca just south of Myrtle Beach. From there, I was able to travel more easily throughout the Southeast Region to some of the finest golf communities in the nation — and a few not so fine. I produced unbiased reviews for a newsletter I called Home On The Course but, to expand the audience, I designed and developed this blog site, Golf Community Reviews. More than 15 years and almost 2,000 articles later, I still love writing (and talking) about the golfing lifestyle. |
